This Saturday, 30th August 2014, the Hoppers Crossing Reds will be playing for the clubs 4th Senior Division championship against local rivals Point Cook Jets.
After taking the title in 1999, 2001 and 2012, our boys need one more point from the remaining 4 Home and Away fixtures to secure the title and promotion to State League 3 North/West - and what better way to do it than taking all 3 points in front of our home supporters at Grange Reserve.
In what has been a quite remarkable season to date, the Reds only blemishes have been a draw against Sebestopol Vikings and a shock loss to Maribyrnong Greens two weeks ago, scoring 53 goals and conceding only 14 along the way.
Point Cook, with ex-Socceroo Joe Spitiri coming off a hattrick against Melton Pheonix last week, will be keen to make us wait a another week - but the Reds will be hungry to finish off what was started back in January this year - and be crowned LEAGUE CHAMPIONS.
So get down to Grange Reserve this Saturday and support the Lads on their Championship quest. We need YOUR support to bring the title back to YOUR club !!!
Dear Members & Parents,
My name is Craig Moore, I am the clubs’ Director of Coaching and I would like to welcome you and your children to the new season and explain some of the coaching and playing philosophies that we have implemented at Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club this season. Our club has always tried to play good, attacking football (soccer), sometimes successfully, sometimes not.
