Round 4 09/05/2010

The wind worked against the boys in the first half allowing the other side to get several goals. The boys failed to capitalise with the wind behind them in the second half with only one goal scored (Andre). Not having their regular keeper also didn’t help their cause on the day. However there was some good ball control and passing by the boys during the whole match.

Special encouragment this week goes to Robert (defence), William (defence), Alex (pressure and defence), Emir (recent addition to the team) and Jesse (control and passing). A thank you also goes to the U11 boys that helped us make our numbers on the day. Good effort boys! GO THE REDS!

Round 3 02/05/2010

Although the team conceded 3 goals in the first half their performance in the second half was inspirational. The team managed to close down a very effective opposition striker seeing no further scoring and the state of play in the second half was well and truly dominated by the reds with some close opportunities at goal. This week special encouragement goes to Chase (goal keeping), Josh (tackling and possession), Mohamed (player pressure), Andre (striking) and Claire (fantastic first game). Job well done also to our ground Marshals, Amanda and Lilli. GO THE REDS!!!!!
