It is with great sadness that the Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club acknowledges the passing of Ray Wilkinson on November 1, 2026, at Werribee Mercy Hospital, aged 98.Ray was one of the original founders and served as the inaugural President of our club, then known as the Mossfiel Rangers Soccer Club.Throughout his decades of involvement, Ray dedicated countless hours across a wide range of volunteer roles, laying the foundation for our sustained success both on and off the pitch. His extraordinary contributions were recognised with Life Membership, and his legacy lives on permanently with our pavilion named the Ray Wilkinson Stand in his honour.Even in his later years, Ray remained one of our most passionate supporters, attending almost every match and demonstrating an unwavering love for the club through every success and struggle.A true club legend, Ray will always be remembered for his dedication, the thriving community connections he helped create, and his lifelong devotion to our club and the game.Funeral DetailsDate & Time: Wednesday, 11th November at 11:00 AMLocation: Tobin Brothers Funerals, 2 Tower Road, WerribeeOur thoughts, love, and deepest condolences go out to Ray's family and friends during this time.Vale Ray Wilkinson

Congratulations to all our HCSC U12–U16 juniors on a fantastic 2026 season! Yesterday we celebrated our end‑of‑season presentation, recognising every team, every player, and every achievement across these age groups. The growth, effort, teamwork and resilience shown this year has been outstanding.A huge thank you to our coaches, team managers, volunteers and families for the support you give our players week after week. And to our juniors — your commitment, sportsmanship and passion make our club proud.Well done to all flag, trophy and pennant winners, and to every player who represented HCSC this season. What a year for our Junior program!
Chapter 10, of our HCSC Volunteer Spotlight, our final chapter for 2026, honours the volunteers who make football truly accessible — the people who ensure that every player, regardless of ability, has a place to belong, grow, and enjoy the game. This chapter centres on the All Abilities and ASD Academy programs, which have become one of the most meaningful parts of our club.At the heart of this work is Jess, whose dedication goes far beyond coaching. Jess creates an environment where every child feels included, valued, supported, and comfortable. She ensures that players of all abilities can participate in a way that celebrates their strengths and supports their needs. Her care, patience, and commitment have shaped a program that has changed lives.Together with her husband Kev, Jess established the All Abilities program from the ground up. Their vision and heart have opened doors for families across Victoria — families who once thought organised sport might not be possible. Because of them, children from all over the state now have a place to play, belong, and shine. Their impact is profound, lasting, and deeply felt.Supporting Jess and Kev are volunteers who help make the program run smoothly and ensure every child has what they need to feel confident and included:• Steph — who has organised all the visual guides, communication supports, and tools that help players understand, feel safe, and enjoy their football experience.• Kev — co‑founder of the program, whose leadership and heart continue to shape its direction.• John — who supports on game days, helping players feel comfortable, guided, and ready to enjoy their matches.Alongside them, we also recognise volunteers across our junior program who contribute to communication, organisation, and matchday involvement:• Z — U14 Team Manager• Bianca — U13 Team Manager• Slobodan — Club Assistant RefereeTogether, they help create a club environment where every player — regardless of age, ability, or experience — feels supported and included.
