A five goal haul by our Reds a fitting reward for a commanding collective performance!Bundoora were put under pressure from the first whistle with the early breakthrough much deserved when Dylan Lee scored 10 minutes into proceedings from a set piece. The lads capitalised on this momentum with sustained pressure and opportunities, bagging another two goals in quick succession just before the break. The first of these was courtesy of Ivan Silic tucking away a first time finish from a Dylan Lee cross. Meanwhile, the other came thanks to Sebastian Milan, who reacted first to the visitor keeper's save.A short time into the second half, Ivan Silic secured his brace in typical striker fashion remaining alert for the follow up in the box after the ball ricocheted off the post. Finally, our spark off the bench Aruna Mwinyi tucked away a nice finish to round out the goals for the home side.A very late consolation goal to the visitors in stoppage time the only minor blip on an otherwise exceptional team performance.Reserves also defeated Bundoora 6-1 to notch up their first win of the year. Chol Dongrin slammed home a shot for his first after an excellent team build up before being alert to punish a costly error by an opposition defender for his second. Hasan Ali netted a header at the back post and a neatly taken finish after going 1 on 1 with the keeper. Lay Doh Htoo nipped in with a back post header of his own and the scoring was rounded out by an opposition own goal. A slow start hurt the Reds with second half dominance proving too little, too late.In wet conditions away from home, Epping City got the jump early going into the half two goals up. After a prolonged period of pressure and chances after the break, Kosta Paganis found the back of the net.Another Epping goal against the run of play saw them restore their two goal lead before Dylan Lee set up a grandstand finish with 10 minutes to go. However, the equaliser proved elusive despite the effort and endeavour. Reserves fought back from a goal down with 10-men to salvage a point in a 1-1 draw.
